Great news for Instagram users, as today the popular social media platform introduced its biggest updates yet. Users will no longer have to worry about using third party apps such as Instasize or InstaSquare to fit their photos into the square frame, as Instagram now supports landscape and portrait photo and video orientations in addition to the square option. The overall look and symmetry of users profile won’t be affected, as landscape and portrait thumbnails will be center-cropped to keep the grid layout uniform. In addition, Instagram has always had separate filters for photos and videos, but with the new update that rolled out, all filters will now work on all types of posts, while the ability to adjust the intensity of a video’s filter will also be available.

Instagram version 7.5 is now available via Google Play for Android, and Apple’s App Store for iOS devices.
